EJE couple, Jordyn & Alex, share a charming hometown love story rooted in the suburbs of Rochester, New York. Though they grew up just minutes apart, they attended different schools and never crossed paths until one fateful night that finally brought them together. While out on the town with friends at a local bar, Jordyn and Alex finally met, clicking instantly. From that day, they built a relationship filled with laughter, support, and love. That leads us to May 10th, 2025. Their wedding day! Now, surrounded by family and friends, they celebrated a love that was always just around the corner.
The couple tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony at Arbor Midtown, followed by a joyous celebration. Arbor Midtown is a newly renovated event space located in the heart of Rochester, New York. The space combines the building’s rich history with modern flair. Originally constructed in 1926, the architects and the Arbor Venues team stayed true to its 1920s aesthetic, incorporating modern twists on classic architecture. With floor-to-ceiling windows, marble columns, stone travertine flooring, and the original escalator detailing, the space encapsulates the very meaning of timeless elegance.
On the morning of the wedding, Jordyn, her bridesmaids, and the mothers gathered in the beautifully lit bridal suite at Arbor Midtown to get ready. The space, filled with natural light, provided a serene and elegant setting for the morning preparations. Meanwhile, Alex, his groomsmen, and the fathers spent a relaxed morning in the groom’s suite. Once a conference room, the suite now features rich dark wood walls and generous natural light, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Using the iconic stairway entrance that features the original escalator detailing, the couple shared a private moment for their first look, followed by an intimate exchange of private vows.
The couple beautifully incorporated many Jewish traditions into their wedding day. The traditional elements began with the signing of the Ketubah, a sacred marriage contract symbolizing their mutual commitment to one another. They welcomed close friends and family to join them in the groom’s suite and bear witness to this special moment.
For the ceremony, the couple, their parents, and the rabbi stood beneath the chuppah, a 4-footed structure meant to symbolize the home they will build together. The chuppah featured beautiful gold detailing, a traditional Tallis, and an abundance of stunning florals. As they exchanged vows surrounded by loved ones, they received eight traditional blessings, recited to honor love, joy, and the creation of a new family.
As a final, symbolic gesture, the groom broke a glass—an ancient tradition reminding us of life's fragility. The guests erupted in cheer, shouting “Mazel Tov” to the new Mr. and Mrs. Kramer. The celebration continued into the reception with the iconic Hora. Guests lifted the newlyweds into the air and danced around them, creating an atmosphere of love and support to kick off the festivities. These timeless rituals added heartfelt significance to this special day in the couple’s lives.
The reception table design showcased gold beaded chargers, green patterned napkins, and elegant gold flatware. Inspired by the floral palette, the accents featured soft greens, pinks, whites, and orange tones to evoke a spring ambiance inside the urban venue. The space was adorned with a mix of high and low floral centerpieces, complemented by clusters of grapes, pink glass votive holders, and floating candles encased in etched glass. This thoughtful design introduced visual contrast throughout the expansive two-story, 10,000-square-foot event space, creating a harmonious and inviting atmosphere.
As the sun set and the last dance faded into laughter and farewells, it was clear that this wedding was something truly special. From the vibrant energy of the city streets to the intimate moments shared in thoughtfully curated spaces, every detail came together to celebrate not just a marriage, but the beginning of a new story. It was a beautiful blend of modern style and timeless love—an unforgettable day in the heart of the city, where new beginnings bloomed just like the season around them. “Mazel Tov” to Jordyn and Alex as they embark on this exciting new chapter together as husband and wife!
