Serving NY & NC, Eliza, Owner & Lead Planner for Eliza Jane Events has an extensive career in planning events of many varieties. Starting in fundraising events, moving to concert operations, to finally finding her love in wedding planning lead to what is now a luxury event planning company!
From ceremony chair spacers to an industrial steamer the focus has been no detail left untouched from the start. Eliza is the calm when stress arises and always knows how to orchestrate excellence at each wedding she carefully designs.
When not planning luxury events, Eliza loves spending time with family and friends. Eliza's faith is primary in her life. Long runs are her stress relief and music, relaxing, and her golden retriever puppy, Noah, bring her joy.

Abbye Schmitz, Lead Planner with Eliza Jane Events, brings a wealth of experience and a passion for creating unforgettable moments. Inspired by her father’s love for a good party, bringing people together, and sharing moments that will live on in memory, Abbye’s journey in event planning began at a young age and has driven her career ever since.
With a BA in Communication, Media & Journalism from SUNY College at Geneseo, Abbye has honed her skills in meticulous planning, creative problem-solving, and effective communication. Her extensive hands-on experience ensures that every detail is thoughtfully curated and each event is flawlessly executed.
Abbye is committed to making every occasion special. She believes in being a guiding light throughout the planning process, working to bring clients’ dreams to life. Her approach focuses on creating experiences that trigger emotions, ensuring every detail leaves a lasting impact. Abbye strives to add a touch of sparkle to each event, filling every moment with magic and joy.
When not planning, Abbye loves spending time with her family, especially her three little sisters. She enjoys a good retail therapy session, traveling, and spontaneous adventures with her bestie girls.

OUR ON-SITE COORDINATOR TEAM
Kate Palmer is a lover of all things wedding related, from the cake to the invites, the flowers, the photos, the dancing, the dresses, the food and the toasts. Charcuterie is her love language and a good Manchego is the way to her heart.
After planning her own small wedding in Nashville in 2016 she realized how much goes into each detail on the big day. She is so happy to be joining Eliza’s team to assist making other couples’ wedding days just as special.
Kate spent nearly a decade living in Los Angeles before moving back to Pittsburgh and then Rochester in late 2019 to be with her husband Cory, principal bassist of the RPO. TV and Film are Kate’s passions with dogs and Elvis being a close second. When she’s not working at the George Eastman Museum, she can be found doing pilates or trying to find the best coffee in Rochester.
Amelia is a lover of all things weddings, detail, planning, and design.
This is Amelia's second season with Eliza Jane Events and she has loved every moment of on-site coordinating with Eliza and her team.
Whether it's spacing chairs, setting up the dessert table, or making sure the groomsmen have their boutonnieres on Amelia is ready to assist with all your wedding day needs large or small. An eye for detail and a love for design has always been a passion of hers. Making sure everything is well thought out and executed with excellence is her goal for your big day.
When not coordinating or designing weddings Amelia enjoys spending time with family and friends, serving at church, and trying new cafes in Rochester.
Nina is a proud graduate of Niagara University, where she earned both her undergraduate and master's degrees. For the past six years, she has poured her heart into teaching elementary school students, but a recent spark of passion for wedding coordination and design, after planning her own wedding, has her eager for a new adventure here at Eliza Jane events!
She can't wait to dive into the world of weddings, working closely with couples to understand their unique styles and personalities, and bringing their dream celebration to life. When not teaching or working Nina loves to travel with her husband, try our new local restaurants and coffee shops with friends and family, and be outside in the sunshine!
Rylee Vink is an onsite coordinator at Eliza Jane Events. With a passion for creating exceptional events, Rylee has been dedicated to the wedding and celebration industry since she was sixteen. Her extensive experience in banquet service ensures effective communication and meticulous attention to detail, making every bride, groom, and bridal party feel cared for.
Rylee's love for details, combined with her charismatic and friendly demeanor, makes her perfect for ensuring your special day is flawless. She delights in perfecting every aspect, down to the positioning of table numbers, and looks forward to translating your unique visions into unforgettable experiences.
Beyond the wedding season, Rylee enjoys skiing and snowboarding as a ski instructor at Bristol Mountain.
Rose is so excited to be working at Eliza Jane Events with Eliza and her team! When it comes to planning, Rose loves every part of it. Whether it’s the organization aspect before, the problem solving during, or finally seeing everything come together after. Nothing makes Rose happier than to see people with a smile on their faces, and being able to create a memory that lasts a life time. One of Rose’s favorite things is life is communication; which is a huge part of event planning! Rose adores getting to know people and learning about their story so she can assist with the wedding of their dreams.
Outside of the wedding season, Rose enjoys to horseback ride, do photography, play cello, read, and serving on her school’s student government board. She is currently at RIT studying astrophysics to achieve her dream of working at NASA. Rose hopes to always be a part of the event planning industry, as it is one of her biggest passions!
Rachael is well versed in the event and wedding industry with 5+ years of having a hand in various parts of carrying out a couple's special day. The most rewarding feeling is seeing a couple relaxed, smiling ear to ear, and laughing throughout their entire wedding day.
Upon graduating from Nazareth College, Rachael continued working at Midvale Country Club working showers, private dinners, and weddings. LooLoo’s Events as an assistant day-of coordinator. Fast forward to 2023, Rachael now works with Eliza Jane Events as an onsite coordinator.
In addition to planning weddings, Rachael spends her free time with friends, working out with gal pals, and finding new coffee shops to try in Rochester. Rachael finds value in creating personable relationships with every client and cannot wait to see your big day unfold together!
Ashley Tanksley is an on-site coordinator for Eliza Jane Events and is excited to work alongside Eliza and the team to create beautiful and memorable events. She graduated from Monroe Community College in 2022 with an associate degree in hospitality management for event planning. With two years of experience working in events, Ashley has loved every moment of it.
Her passion for event planning began while organizing her daughter’s first birthday party, where she realized that planning brought her excitement instead of stress. After planning more events for family and friends, her enthusiasm remained, leading her to further her education in event planning.
Outside of work, Ashley enjoys spending time with her family and loves to travel, having visited five countries so far. Her bucket list includes visiting every country. She also has a passion for singing and listening to music, with R&B being her favorite genre. Ashley looks forward to continuing to create unforgettable events.
Michele Wing has a passion for all things in the event and entertainment world. Her passion began as a small child creating her own dances and putting together dance recitals, to adulthood Managing restaurants, planning different sorts of events, then seeing her visions come to life. She knew when she began planning and executing events, she had found what makes her heart full.
For the past 20 years she has been in the service industry as a Manager, Bartender and Server and the interim of those 20 years graduated with a Bachelors in Education, while also coaching cheerleading. She loved the classroom and the restaurants, but always had an itch for more. It is her dream to work in an industry that brings people joy and lets her creative mind run wild.
During her free time Michele still coaches cheerleading for a local all star program that she's been with for over 10 years. She also loves animals and volunteers with a local animal rescue. If she's not at work or with the athletes or animals you can probably find her snacking on some food,being a self proclaimed foodie, with a craft cocktail or beer.
Michele is ecstatic to work with Eliza and her team to help make all of your event dreams come true! In true Michele fashion, everything is done with a little extra sparkle.

Starting previously with a beautiful planning, photography, and design company we've created beautifully elegant weddings for all our couples. Now focused solely on our love for planning and all things details, Eliza strives to have no two weddings alike.
Beyond the weddings, I've been in your shoes. A once stressed out bride who was able to throughly enjoy my wedding day with an incredible planning team behind me.
I truly care about the details others overlook. I've attended weddings with wrinkly linens, chipped plates, and crooked chairs that made me cringe. When we work together you can trust that my detail-oriented team will give you the wedding of your dreams.
